We are seeking interested applicants to apply for our position of greenkeeper at Orlando Country in Palmerston North.
Orlando Country is an events venue in Palmerston North, and home to the regions only 9-hole golf course and public driving range.
The venue also includes a café/bar, homeware store and events space hosting conferences, activities, weddings, parties etc.

This greenkeeper role is a full time position with a minimum of 40 hours a week.
We are looking for a motivated, passionate and experienced person to take over this established role which includes everything from golf course maintenance to assisting with ongoing development at Orlando Country.

Key Responsibilities:
*Turf management and maintenance of all playing areas
*General golf course maintenance and upkeep
*Driving Range maintenance and upkeep
*Management of part-time staff – Driving Range ball pickers / Groundsman etc
*General landscaping of the property – Trees and plants etc
*Assistance with further development of the Orlando Country property
*General machine maintenance
*Compliance and commitments to regulations and the safety of all employees and visitors within the property
*General tidiness of the property

Key attributes looked highly upon:
*Hold a minimum of Level 4 or equivalent qualification.
*Ability to work both as a team member and as an individual.
*Competent in the use of golf course machinery and equipment with machinery maintenance skills.
*Basic knowledge of irrigation systems.
*Have a basic understanding of the game of golf.
*The ability and interest to assist with further development of Orlando Country and its amenities.
*Being reliable and honest with an exceptional eye for detail.
*Able to work unsupervised but not afraid to ask questions and consult.
*Have a good understanding of Health & Safety in the work environment.
*Hold or to attain a Growsafe Certification or approved chemical handler qualification.
*Take pride in your work and personal presentation.
*Have a passion for the properties presentation.
*Be eligible to work in New Zealand and hold a valid NZ driving licence.
